Is toshiba laptops good?

Is toshiba laptops worth buying?On surfing through the net i came across problems like cracked screen and other hardware problems.Should i buy toshiba? please advise.

My price range is Rs30k to 35k.
I plan to use it for atleast 5 years.
I will be using it daily for both entertainment and educational purposes.
I need to know whether TOSHIBA as a laptop brand is good or bad ,or full of complaints.

so that is about $600 US Dollars.
they are good laptops, but they are more business-oriented and are little expensive. You will get much greater value going with a HP or Dell.
