I have been using my new pc for over a month or two, I am using a ASUS Gtx 580 direct-cuII video card. Yet since a few days ago, my computer had been having trouble detecting the pc as it was booting. I had managed to get it working, until today, as I was playing some Skyrim, the pc crashed and "dvi: no signal" I have reconnecting the dvi cable, placed it in the other ports, checked the two 8 pin connectors and the connections on the powersupply. Everything is in tight, yet still my monitor has not detected the pc. I then tried putting the dvi cable into the motherboard to check if it was just the video card or not. It works.

I am using:

An Asus P8Z68-V PRO

Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR3 @ 1600mhz

Intel Core I5-2500k overclocked to 4.5Ghz

An Asus gtx580 Direct CuII

Corsair AX850w

And a HP 2310i 23" monitor

These specs are in my signature, but I put this up just incase you didn't notice. Thank you for reading, any suggestions?

Message from the nvidia control panel:

"No nvidia graphics card was detected in your system", this means it is not properly connected to the motherboard, yes?

Problem has been resolved, poor extension lead and loose connections.
