1st Time Build & Need Advice: Mostly for Work and then Guilty Pleasure

Hi All!

I’m a novice and doing my first build (w/ some actual construction of the build by a local IT acquaintance that has also shied away from advising on components). So I need advice please and particularly with respect to compatibility of components and/or “makes more sense” alternatives. The system will also be Eyefinity technology based with 3 monitors.

Purposes of system usage[/u]: 1) Report Writing with Dragon NaturallySpeaking 11.5 and MS Word/MS Office 2010 Professional (Extremely high use) together with KnowBrainer 11 (Extremely high use), 2) Internet and e-mail (high use), 3) Photoshop CS5 (high use), 4) Quicken 2011 (high use), 5) watching TV/cable (moderate use), 6) listening to music (high use; through headphones mostly), 7) MS Word to PDF conversion (low use), 8) some gaming (low to medium gaming), and 9) some CD/DVD burning and ripping (low to medium use).

OS: Windows 7 Professional (64-bit)
