Old Alienwares, what to do with them?

Hello

Not sure where to post this but my job has two Alienware Area 51 computers from 2006. The specs are Athlon 64 4200+ 0r 4600+( I forget which) dual core processors, 1 gig of memory and a GTX 7800. Old I know.

What can these computers be used for and what parts can be kept and still play todays games with upgrading other parts? Or do I need to upgrade everything inside?

More about alienwares them
  1. make the worlds most expensive bonfire
  2. home server, ebay, outside of firewall browsing machine for staff during lunch.
  3. Blow. Them. Up. Or sell them on ebay/craigslist.
  4. Ha ha thats funny

So are the cases reusable? I cant throw them away, they are company property. But we can upgrade them and do something with them.

Should replace the insides with all new mb, gpu, cpu, psu, memory, and more? How would a server be useful? We are getting new gaming machines. They are Aururas not Area 51s. Made mistake
  5. Are the case connectors custom or standard? The front panel connectors like usb etc.

    I dont know.
  7. Like this?
  8. Scarp one of them, take what ever you can out of one of them and put it inside the other.

Or you could have a small LAN party =P

The case appears to be regular half tower case. The usb connectors look normal and the power supply is a Silverstone. So I think that the case is upgradable. It has lots of hard drive bays.

Suggestions? New Intel or AMD stuff?
