Approximate Purchase Date: 2-3 weeks from now
Budget Range: less than 900 AFTER REBATES. 950ish before rebates

System Usage from Most to Least Important: 1. gaming. 2. cpu power and quietness for some game botting.

Parts Not Required: keyboard, monitor, mouse, speakers, OS

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: doesn't matter

Country: US

Parts Preferences: doesn't matter

Overclocking: Yes, getting i5 2500k.

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe, is it really worth it after micro-shuttering issues and everything?

Monitor Resolution: 1920 x 1080 preferred to use for games (monitor supports it)

Additional Comments: I am near a microcenter, 180 dollar i5 2500ks. Can I use ubuntu? I was wondering. If not, i'll just use windows 7. I'm also near FRY's electronics, they have cheap hard drive deals. I really like the HAF 922 blue edition case. MicroCenter also has mobo and cpu combos, especially for the i5 2500k

Note: if a graphics card is less than 250 dollars, I can get SLI/crossfire, and ill get the second card 7 months from now though. I'll only get SLI/crossfire if it's well worth it

I just got two 6870 Hawk from MSI and they max out BF3 on Ultra 60FPS 1920x1080 with only one card I was getting 35-40FPS so its a decent card if you wanna add on later... plus only $215

Yea I had those when I purchased a low quality 6870 like XFX for $160 I switched and it was all gone... it was a problem with the cards bios but it was not micro stuttering I am a pretty competitive gamer and I really need the 60FPS. that 6950 from MSI is amazing from what I hear but I only have the 6870 Hawk so I cannot say exactly other than that the quality on MSI products is really good

thats why I said 6870 because for the same reason I got that card is cause I am waiting for next gen from AMD or nvidia a single 6870 might be good enough for you they are $195 after rebate right now

I need to get the other parts and I need to verify about what I have in my components list right now.

Can someone please help me pick the rest of the parts and verify these that I chose? Thanks. I really appreciate it.

if i have money to spare, should i get the HAF 932?

I still need to figure out the rest of my components. We will leave the MoBo for last because there will be a combo deal.

Can I please get some help picking out the rest of my parts? Thanks. I really need to know now because I need to figure out the budget for the case, since there are great deals on cases right now. Thanks so much.

I can get this mobo for 80 bucks on MIR, (95 bucks without MIR)

Is that a good mobo?
