I was looking at a pc on pcspecialist.co.uk, when i pressed proceed it said that everything is compatible...

Case
COOLERMASTER ELITE 310 BLUE CASE

Processor (CPU)
Intel® Core™i5-2400 Quad Core (3.10GHz, 6MB Cache) + HD Graphics

Motherboard
ASUS® P8Z68-V LX: USB 3.0, SATA 6GBs, ATI®CrossFireX

Memory (RAM)
4GB SAMSUNG DUAL-DDR3 1333MHz (2 X 2GB)

Graphics Card
1GB AMD RADEON™ HD6870 - 2 DVI,HDMI,2 mDP - DX® 11, Eyefinity 4 Capable

Memory - 1st Hard Disk
500GB SATA-II 3-Gb/s HARD DRIVE WITH 16MB CACHE (7,200rpm)

1st DVD/BLU-RAY Drive
24x DUAL LAYER DVD WRITER ±R/±RW/RAM

Power Supply
450W Quiet 80 PLUS Dual Rail PSU + 120mm Case Fan (£29)

Processor Cooling
INTEL SOCKET LGA1155 STANDARD CPU COOLER

I then went to compare prices with cyberpower PC.
I entered the same spec on there with the 'CoolerMaster Elite 500watt Gaming Power Supply'
Here it says the recommended psu is 850watt.
The system requirements on the amd website say a 500watt PSU is recommended.

Please tell me if the 450W Quiet 80 PLUS Dual Rail PSU is ok for the system.
Any feedback appreciated, thanks, Andy

sounds just about enough to me. are you going to be doing any overclocking? what brand is the power supply?

I'm not sure on the brand that's all it says on the website and no i'm not planning on overclocking. Thanks for the quick reply.

I wouldn't rely on a no-name psu to power my gear and yes 450W is low for a 6870.
500W is the recommended for a 6870.
