Repacing PSU

Hi All,


I am aving a problem with MY PSU ..Its a 450W SMPS. Due to over heat am getting restarting issues.

Now i am going for another one..I am having a doubt about the Watts .

Because i do have another PSU with fine workin condition. but its 400 W.

Please advice me that what happen if replace a 400w psu instead of 450 w..

Is there any Compatitable PSu for each mother board.?

Graphics Card: Nvidia Geforce 8400 Gs(now connected to VGA only)
Ram : Dynet 2 GB Ramm DDr2
PSU :techcom 450W

What else You need

No problem swapping out the units.
Your 8400 GS uses under 75W.
How many case fans do you have?

I thought so = would explain the overheating.
You need to buy another fan the same size and replace it.
