i need some help

im plannig to buy Asus A8N-E, and in its specs it has 10/100/1000Mbps Gigabit biult in. Im wondering if this will connect me to internet. i have cable modem, from Rogers (in canada). will i need to buy a a PCI modem to get connected or will ths built in one work?

Yep should work. You are only connecting this one computer to the internet right? All you will need is the network cable to connect from your computer to the cable modem. It should have come with your cable modem.

Those data rates 10/100/1000 are just the speed at which yuo will connect the two devices. The cable modem is probably rated at either a 10 or a 100. You wont need to mess with any settings, this all happens at the hardware level and it will automatically set itself up.

If you have windows XP its as easy as plugging it in and turning on your computer. (in most cases)
