I remember someone telling me that power7 has a lengthened pipeline vs core, but I haven't been able to find any figures on it. I know core has 16, but even the wikipedia page for this has a blank space beside power7 as to pipeline stages.

its because its part of the classified design information and you won't find it until the processor becomes older and things get release.
