when i put my memory higher than 1066 to 1333 or 1600 my pc freezes and doesnt boot...anyone knows whats going wrong?

my motherboard fsb can me overclocked to 400mhz to 800mhz (1600mhz ram to as it gets)

thanks

my motherboard is asus maximus extreme

cpu q450

vga 7870

Your board may only run with the cpu overclocked; you'll definately need the command rate set at 2T, which the board should do automatically when populating all four slots. I would try overclocking the cpu and set the ram setting on "auto" and see what speed the board selects for the ram. Some 775 boards won't run stable with the ram speed higher than 1066.

What model is the RAM? You don't have any timings input, but it is AUTO detecting 7-11-11 and I don't know if that is correct since I don't know what you have..

Row Refresh Cycle Time (tRFC) is 78.. that'll need to be higher for 16GB.. have you tried 8GB to see if that works?

Thank you
