Hey,
Just connected my hd 4870 to HD ready Sharp Aquos display... aaand the quality is whole lot worse than it was when I used DVI.

The gpu has only 2 DVI females so I'm using an hdmi cable with adapter. And it shows 720p on my display. But everything is unclear. I can even see the downgrade in the fonts.
I don't think this is how it's supposed to be, so I'd be happy if you got any advice as to why this is happening and what I can do about it

Sorry, I should've added: I used to connect my PC to the monitor using DVI at my PC's end, but VGA at the monitor since it only has VGA or HDMI. So I presume the quality would've been downgraded to VGA.

Also, I have 2 monitors connected to my PC. The HD rdy one (tried various cables and adapters now). And an Acer monitor (DVI on PC's end, VGA on monitor's end) the acer isn't HD rdy but the display on it is much better than the HD rdy screen... (and this can already be seen when the motherboard image shows up before windows starts.
