For the money, this is damn near the best system I can come up with.
I want to be certain that all the parts are compatible and will run smoothly!
What do you think?

That looks like a beautiful pc. The only issue I have with it is the Micro motherboard. I much prefer the one I have.
It looks like you took a lot of time doing this! I really appreciate it!
I'm just browsing. It's not much of a budget thing, but in the near future I'm going to start getting parts for something I can be proud of!

Just bought same mobo, it's AM3+ so offers upgrade path, go with it.

From what I know, aren't micro motherboards slower? I intend to game with it, obviously.

m_ATX motherboards are NOT slower , but that foxconn with an nVidia chip set is going to perform well as a paper weight or door stop

Stick with the 970 Asrock

use only 2 x2 gig of RAM

fit an Athlon X3

and the best graphics card you can afford . 6770/6790/even 6850
