Crossfire not enabling pls halp!

hi guys, i've just installed my second 5870, (Both cars showing in device manager) reinstalled CCC, the corssfire option is there, i check the box "Enable CrossFireX" then i hit Apply, however when i do that, the box just unchecks its self and nothing happens... what does this mean?

Ive got 5870 xfx
just installed 5870 gigabyte
ive used two cross fire birdges (wasnt sure if they have to go a particular way either i just put them on they way they fit)

what should i do please help1!

System specs? Do they work by themselves ok?

No particular direction for crossfire bridge cables is required.

what happens when you click crossfire diagnostics button?

AMD PHen II x 4 955 pro 3.2
8gb ram

my orignal 5870 workd fine, and id assume the new one does since it was out of the box, and device manager is picking it up

when i click diagnostics, theres a drop down box, only has 1 card in there tho says:
ATI Radeon HD 588 Series [G235H]

and in the following information area, there is nothing, its just blank

ive just checked, and yes both cards work independantly.

Don't mean to treat you like an idiot, but you did put all the PCIe power plugs in both right? It's about the last thing I can think of.

Just interchange the Cards, meaning put the new one where the old one was and the old one where the new one is.
Remember to uninstall all the CCC components and drivers from the rig before you reinstall them after exchanging the cards places.
