New Build! Please help in a hurry to order

Ok so im trying to take advantage of the black friday sales on newegg. Right now i have:

Mobo: ASUS P8Z68 Deluxe/Gen3 LGA 1155
CPU: i5 2500k sandy
Memory: G.Skill X Series 8gb (2 x 4gb) 1600
HD: Samsung spinpoint F3 1 TB (is this a good HD?)
SSD: (For OS and 2 games maybe) Samsung 830 64GB SSD
GPU: HIS IceQ X Turbo H695QNT2G2M Radeon HD 6950 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card with Eyefinity
PSU: Corsair Gaming Series 800W
OS: WIndows 7 Home

Ok recently i saw on the newegg website the deal of the Diamond Radeon HD 5970 for just 299.99 where as HIS IceQ is just 269.99. So i was wondering is this a good deal with my i5 cpu? or would i need to upgrade it to an i7 for the Radeon HD? Im tryin gto get the best gaming rig i can between the 2.

Do you think the rest of my rig works? Will it all function right and is the mobo fitting for the gpu? I know this is alot to ask but im a NOOB! lol any help would be great! thanks im trying to order it tonight! please help

More about build hurry order
  1. Forget the HDD for now and get a bigger ssd. HD6950 or GTX560Ti are good choices.
  2. You think the i5 can handle the GPU? i heard i should upgrade to i7 but i didnt think it makes a big gaming difference? and how does the rig look?

  3. It has nothing to do with the CPU. It may bottleneck it a bit if you don't Overclock it but otherwise it shouldn't be an issue.
  4. Ya missed a case ..... This is the best deal I have seen as yet on newegg for the sales

    PSU - XFX Core Edition 850 - $90

GFX - Three choices order of least to best performance

-6950 Twin Frozr is a factory OC'd 6950 that gets 484 fps in a single card configuration and 759 in CF

-560 Ti CU TOP by Asus is a factory OC'd 560 Ti that gets 495 fps in a single card configuration and 862 in SLI

-560-448 is a new 560/570 hybrid being released on , reportedly at the 560's price.

RAM - Id take the Corsair Venegance
