hello i recently put a evga gtx 460 se into the an ecs 945gct-m/1333 v3.0 along with a 450w power supply.
i reinstalled windows 7 64 bit on the computer and it boots and has basic video output, however when i try install drivers from either evga or nvidia themselves, it doesnt recognize the card and exits saying i have incompatible hardware. i look into device manager and see "intel(r) 945g/gz/gc/p/pl pci express root port -2771 has the yellow triangle on it. right clicking on it shows that "Your computer's system firmware does not include enough information to properly configure and use this device. To use this device, contact your computer manufacturer to obtain a firmware or BIOS update. (Code 35)" so i installed the latest chipset from intel and flashed the bios to the latest version. it still does not recognize my card and the yellow triangle is stil there. However, cpu-z detects that i have a geforce card in the pci express slot and so does sisoftware sandra which says i have an evga gtx 460 se in the pce slot. Video is being output from the card and the graphic cards fans are turning, but i am unable to install drivers for it because the driver installers and device manager fail to see the card. I have also looked in the bios and the the "init display first" to pci express. Can somebody help please?
