If the price the same, you might want to grab the K processor. Because you can upgrade the motherboard to P67 or Z68 and who knows in a month or two you know to overclock. BTW, the chipsets make the K processor easier to overclock.

Edit: And no, the processor will not fry anything.

What country are you from? This will help us determine the proper parts and prices releveant to you. If you are from America, then I suggest a 560 Ti video card, as thats $249 and is a bit faster than the GTX 460. Also, unless you plan on upgrading the machine in the future, that PSU will be over kill. A 650 Watt will be more than enough for what you have listed.

Whatever RAM you picked, its awfully expensive (again, perhaps its due to where you live). I recommend a minimum of 6 GBs RAM to last that far into the future. 4 GBs will do you well now though. Just make sure you install a 64-Bit OS, otherwise you'll be wasting RAM.

Its a good gaming setup I suggest if you keep it for that long you upgrade to 2 GPUs for SLi at some point if that is not what you plan to do I suggest you spend more on the GPU and less on the CPU. Also yes those prices are high I assume that is due to tax/duty where you are.

What are you talking about? You know that G41 chipset is for 775 socket? The i5 has 1155 socket, clearly different.

To the OP, drop your PSU to 600W-700W. And use the leftover to upgrade the GTX 460 to something like GTX 560.

I'm from Jordan - Middle East , there's a 16% tax on each item and the RAMs are 8GB - 4GB each

Do you want to OC? Because people buy the K processor mainly to overclock. The H6x motherboard are very hard to overclock. Most Intel mainstream motherboard did not have option to OC. But, if you did not overclock, you can drop the K series and just use the regular one.

i don't want to overclock , i don't know how , anyways the k and the regular one are at the same price.. but if i didn't overclock the 2500k series is it going to fry or something?

A lot of that seems too expensive, you probably won't need that powerful of a power supply or motherboard.

Since you don't plan on overclocking, H67 motherboards are a better option (and instead of a 2500K you could get a regular i5-2500 or i5-2400)

and why is 4gb of ram $100? Most DDR3 4GB ram I've seen are around $30
