Hello,

I have the following specs:

Intel Core 2 Quad q6600 @ 2, 5 ghz
Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3L mobo
Samsung spinpoint hdd 500 gb * 2
ATI Firepro v3750
Antec Truepower trio 430 watt
4 gb 800 mhz kingston ram
I tried to add another 4 gb ram, but the system would only restart.
I have widows 7 on the primary hdd.
I tried adding voltage to the ram, but that didn't work either.
I tested all the sticks and slots using memtest, and it worked fine.
I was wondering if the problem was a lack of power from the PSU?
Thanks

are u having problems when u try add new ram ? are both are in same specification (latency, speed, voltage) ?

if they are not the same spec, it sound like compability issue...

Check the motherboard's beep sound from the manufacturer site and check # of beep and see what it says on their website based on your motherboard...
