Hello,

I have the following specs:

Intel Core 2 Quad q6600 @ 2, 5 ghz
Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3L mobo
Samsung spinpoint hdd 500 gb * 2
ATI Firepro v3750
Antec Truepower trio 430 watt
4 gb 800 mhz kingston ram
I tried to add another 4 gb ram, but the system would only restart.
I have widows 7 on the primary hdd.
I tried adding voltage to the ram, but that didn't work either.
I tested all the sticks and slots using memtest, and it worked fine.
I was wondering if the problem was a lack of power from the PSU?
Thanks

What's the problem, a BSOD or some random shutdowns? Give us more detail regarding what's happening and not just what you did...

if they are not the same spec, it sound like compability issue...

Hi,
No BSOD, no random shutdowns, just won't start up. Repeated beeping.
Ram is same model, frequency, exact same settings.

Check the motherboard's beep sound from the manufacturer site and check # of beep and see what it says on their website based on your motherboard...
