Doesn't turn on when I push the power button

my power button just flickers and wont stay on , but if I unplug the pc abou 10 min then push the button repeatedly it finallypowers up what could be causing this ? :

Bad power switch; short somewhere in the front bezel area or the power supply, etc. Start with a different ps.

thanks , and also when it goes into sleep mode for awhile usually tap the space bar and it fires back up but this turns of ?

That last issue is the power management settings in the control panel; sleep mode is a bios setting.
