Hello there, My friend currently has the AMD Phenom II X4 955 which has the AM3 socket. He is planning on upgrading very soon, April 1'st to be precise. Money is not an issue. I am thinking the AMD FX-8150 Zambezi 3.6GHz which has an AM3+ socket. Now I know that there could be slight to huge issues of bottle necking due to the fact that he has Nvidia GTX 560 for a GPU but currently upgrading the CPU would still make his computer run faster. (GPU is subject to change in the future)
Really what I'm asking is what would be an amazing upgrade in processors. He told me and I quote "... Im tired of buying cheap...so this time ima just buy like a $300-400 processor...so again price isn't a prob"
Well you sir have bested me.. but watch out for the silent standing behind you......

AMD Phenom II X4 955 is powerfull, no need to upgread. also you can overclock the cpu @3.6ghz
Well yes it is.. for basic computer needs. He needs hardcore computer power. He runs the happycreepers youtube channel http://www.youtube.com/HappyCreepers and even though you can't see it in his videos his computer does struggle with recording and playing the games.
