Dell Optiplex 790 BIOS updates

I have a client with one of these machines and the BIOS needs to be updated. The machine is currently at version A10 and the newest version is A16. As the version implies, there are several updates between A10 and A16.

My question is does each intermediate version need to be installed or does A16 contain all of the updates between A11 and A16.

Any help greatly appreciated.

  1. No you do not need to install each update individually. If you have a Dell service tag you can enter it here;

    http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/555?c=us&s=biz&cs=555&l=en

    and get all the available information needed.

    I have always been able to jump to the current Dell BIOS version without incremental upgrades. This one should be no different.
  3. Thanks to all. That was my suspicion but it's good to have it confirmed.
