Hi,

I've been searching for a rack mount server case the past couple of weeks, and I think I've found one that I like and is in my budget. Before I order I would to hear from others about it if they have ordered it and used it

Has anyone used Plink USA before?

Has anyone used the server case linked below before? Is it good? Pros? Cons? Other?
2U Intelligent Green Saving 2x5.25"+2 x 3.5" Bays Chassis 14.96" Deep Micro ATX / Mini ITX Server Case

Any other information that you can give to me would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You in Advanced
John

I actually just used Plink USA for my server build also.

So far, I really like the chassis I bought. Sturdy as all He**.

This is the one that I got: http://www.plinkusa.net/web2260lv.htm

Shipping was actually quite fast (Showed up a day early).

My only issue is the shipping charge. $30 for a 30Lb Server Chassis. I guess it is reasonable, but I just wish it was less. Also 1 screw was on FAR too tight. Stripped it. But that was more my fault than their's.

I would highly recommend this company for their server chassis. Nothing else (because the rest is over-priced crap), but their rack mount server chassis are great.

Thanks for the reply.

Sorry about leaving some details out. Its 11pm here and I'm tired.

1U or 2U is enough.

I've already searched Newegg and nothing really sparked my interest, so I Googled for 2U rack mount cases and that's when I found the one from the first post.

All I'm looking for is feedback about PlinkUSA and if anyone has bought that case and used it. I'd like to hear what owners say about it.

I'm on a tight budget of $600-800 dollars per server.

The system will include the following:
Motherboard:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128539

This motherboard is small and has Raid 1 capability which is why I choose it.

CPU:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=n82e16819116399

RAM:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=n82e16820231190

I won't need much RAM since I'll be the only person accessing it. The servers are only for storage.

PSU:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371046

Storage Drives:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152245

I currently have 5 of these hard drives in my desktop and I love them. I've had them for at least 2-3 years and has not failed yet (knock on wood!)

OS Drive:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152181

Total Price so far without shipping and with the case listed in the first post:
$747.93USD

Thank You,
John

Thank you for the feedback.

I actually looked at that chassis first, but then saw the one with the LCD.

And yeah, I agree the shipping is up there, but then again gas is also and everything else.

Thank you very much,
John
