I'm running an AMD phenom x3 720 OC'ed to 3.5 ghz. Just wondering if I put a gtx 460 in sli will it be bottlenecked? I plan on eventually getting a quad or 6 core processor, but only when it's needed to get the best performance. Wanted to check here before I go ahead and buy a gtx 460 off of ebay.

Solution
The max for the +12/v rails on that PSU is 630watts.Which is fine for a GTX460 SLI.

The triple core you have should be a BE isn't it? RAM speed shouldn't matter.

Yeah I couldn't get it stable at 3.7 ghz(BSOD) which can probably be attributed to my ram only running at 800 mhz. I've since fixed that in the bios, so hopefully I can get it stable. My PSU can be found here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817121045

It's 730 watts Max, but supposedly the full system build will only take up 600 max from PSU calculators I've seen. It's kind of scary how cool my CPU has been, but it's probably because I'm using a coolermaster 212 plus, which is one of the best air coolers from what I've heard. Hittin' 39 idle at 3.5 ghz, which is a little high, but it doesn't matter since under full load I'm hitting 45 MAX. Great budget processor(got it for $50 on sale brand new).
