Opening my webcam

Hello,
I have a project due in which I must video myself encouraging young people to read a certain book. I was hoping to use my webcam on my toshiba laptop. Apparently, I'm much too dumb to accomplish this task. What do I have to do?

Look around in your programs. If your laptop came with Windows and Toshiba software pre-installed, chances are that you already have some kind of webcam application on your computer, which can do recording.

If not, you should visit the product support page for your model on Toshiba's website, and see whether it is offered for download.

If I do a simple Google search with "toshiba webcam application", right at the top results I can see a page from toshiba.com.

It's a software download with lot's of laptop models listed. If yours is among them, you can give it a try.
