After amd 960t oc3.8g running lower performance

several days ago I got a amd 960t,and then oc amd 960T @ 3.8g, run Fritz Chess Benchmark it marks 5000+ points.
but when I do not oc the cpu , it marks 7000+ points
I do not konw why
did I get a bad cpu?

have you disable c1e and cool'n quite feature in your mobo's bios..?
that's the reason for the multi clocked down..
don't forget to disable turbo core too..


how about stressing your processor..? is it stable enough..?
at least with prime95 blend for one hour....

I think it is a software error . it is about 1.450 v on vcore.
the cpu temp is 36°c

have you tried stability of your overclock setting with intel burn test or prime95?

because, if your setting is not stable, one or more of your cores may fail or stop working during benchmark..

that's why it lower than default clock.

I disable c1e and cool'n quite,but I can't find any option to disable turbo.
I enable the High performance mode.
and then I overclock it @3.8Ghz run cpu z it runs @800mhz,prime95(64bit) cpuz shows 800mhz,
but run super pi cpu@3.8Ghz
I am so confused :cry:
