I'm looking to "re-construct" the computer I have right now to be more of a gaming computer, but I want to know if any of the parts it has are even compatible with the things I'm looking into. It doesn't have to run EVERYTHING in the world, I'm mostly looking at wanting to play some newer games at decent settings. Besides that I'm not really sure what to look for. This is my first time so I'm completely sure about things...

From what I've looked into, I've only found a processor and a graphics card:
--> Intel Core i5-2500K Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz (3.7GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 3000 BX80623I52500K

And then either a
--> SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 6770 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card
Or
--> XFX Radeon HD 6850 820MHz 1GB DDR5 PCI Express 2.1

Like I said, I don't really need the highest quality. Just looking to save money and be able to play games at good settings.

My current computer specs are:
--> CPUID CPU Name: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5000+
--> Motherboard Name: Dell Dimension E521
--> OS Name: Microsoft Windows XP Professional (Service Pack 3)
--> DirectX: 4.09.00.0904 (DirectX 9.0c)
I also have information on the Monitor and Drives if that's needed (I'm just not sure what I would put here that would help).

I appreciate any help that could be offered. Thanks!

Oh, alright. Thanks!
Any suggestion on what type of motherboard to get then?
