Hey guys, I'm trying to get a couple more years out of my current setup and am wanting to either upgrade ram or my GPU atm. I'm just curious which you guys think would give me more performance?

Current specs are:

Core 2 Quad Q6600
Two 2GB G.Skill 800mhz
EVGA 9800 GT
ASRock G31M-S R2.0 LGA 775 Intel G31 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard

I'll either go from 4 to 8 GB ram or the 9800GT to a Radeon 6870. I'm also upgrading (finally) from xp to windows 7 and will be using the computer for gaming mostly. LoL and Diablo 3 when it finally launches. Doing my best not to spend over 300$ at the moment.. lol. I appreciate the feedback!

GPU. 4 Gigs is more than you'll ever need on your system.

Also, if you ever plan on upgrading for more RAM in the future with this system, make sure you get 64-bit Windows 7.

Yeah definitely GPU if you use it for gaming. Especially since if I'm not mistaken your system uses DDR2.
