Any link I post seems to be redirected right back to the thread I post it on its really quite weird I hope toms fixes this fast. Its weird because sometimes it will work and sometimes it5 just opens up a new window with the thread I am posting in.

^Indeed. I too am experiencing this problem.

For the record, this happened with both Firefox 3.7a4 and Firefox 3.6.x and Chrome.

@Web admin:

Get your damn act together. This wasn't the first time some thing like this has happened in the last few months/weeks.. While your at it, get rid of the VERY irritating survey on this site. Also fix the ranking system freezing up (as in no points awarded for Best Answer, etc).

If I was BoM, I'd hire someone more competent.

Hey,

Can you give me a URL with an example of what you are talking about? I'm using FF 3.6 so i can test it.

Those links work fine for me.

The links work if I click on them with the left mouse button, but if I click with the middle mouse button it doesn't redirect to Newegg, it returns to the same page. It's rather strange, because in both instances the page opens in a new tab.

I see now. I rarely use the middle button.

Woahh.... the entire website is messed up now! Invisible buttons FTW!

The links are now fixed. HOWEVER, the Survey is STILL there. Please get rid of it. It's a PITA to use the site when I'm using IE.

I'm sorry, but the links are dying again: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/284221-31-asking-advi...

The OP's original Newegg links get redirected as some thing like this:
http://www.anrdoezrs.net/click-3463938-10521304?URL=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.newegg.com%2FProduct%2FComboDealDetails.aspx%3FItemList%3DCombo.359499

PLEASE F@#$ing fix it! It's getting very irritating and pissing me off and will not return for a while till it's fixed.

WOT ranks that anrdoezrs.net domain as "Unsatisfactory". Thank god I have WOT + AdBlockPlus + NoScript (THF is currently added as a "Trusted" website, however I will now change this).

Here is the Whois data: http://whois.domaintools.com/anrdoezrs.net

This happens in the previous thread that was linked here also (the Macbook Pro Gaming one).

Invisible buttons are fixed however.

Bump. Still have this issue.
April 11, 2010 11:16:54 PM

JB,

The problem is still not fixed.
See: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/284325-31-building-co...

But any ways this is the main reason I PMed you:

More info:
I am seeing this because my Linux firewall, AdBlockPlus, and NoScript are all blocking the re-direction.

There is NO REASON for these links (Newegg Links) being re-directed. If I link some thing to Newegg, I expect it to go directly to Newgg, not through some other website that's designed to generate click revenue.

Also read: http://www.robtex.com/dns/anrdoezrs.net.html

http://google.com/safebrowsing/diagnostic?site=anrdoezr...
According to Google, this site has hosted malware.

I'd be careful of such a site. Thank god I know what I'm doing... the last thing BoM need is their users re-directed to some phishing websites....
