I was playing minecraft multilayer with a friend and I noticed that my performance monitoring tool (EVGA precision) was displaying some odd readouts for my EVGA 580 SC memory usage.

Here is a screenshot of the stats- http://i1207.photobucket.com/albums/bb463/NinjaDr/GPU.p... - This screenshot was taken after shortly exiting out of minecraft.

And here is own that happened during the time that I was typing up this post, nothing else running- http://i1207.photobucket.com/albums/bb463/NinjaDr/GPU2....

Any input would really help with my OCD, I am debating whether or not I should RMA the card.

System specs if anyone needs em...

PSU-Corsair 1200 W pro series gold
mobo-Asus rampage 3 formula
RAM- 12 Gigs corsair dominator
CPU- Intel I-7 930
GPU- EVGA 580 SC

Everything is running stock, minus the GPU which came already OC'd.

It just looks like the desktop aero interface uses more GRAM than the game. It's not that shocking, nor does it affect performance.

Minecraft is hardly an demanding game, and we all know that micrsoft do not particularly optimise bloat on the OS services.

Your RMA would probably cost you money as the card does not appear to have any faults at all (from what you are reporting). The card is just loading what it is told to load.
