High End Graphics Cards with mini--HDMI

Why do high end graphics cards have mini-HDMI and not HDMI? Will I need an adapter for my regular HDMI monitor?

These cards simply don't have enough room on the backplate to have DVI ports, a cooling vent AND a full sized HDMI. To save space the manufacturers use mini-HDMI.
Both my ASUS Geforce GTX560 Ti and my GIGABYTE Geforce GTX460 OC came with mini HDMI adaptors. So don't worry they are included in the package.
