IBM Thinkpad T43 beep codes, won't boot

Hello,
I have a IBM Thinkpad T43 type 2687 won power up. I get a beep code of 3 beeps followed by one followed by 4 then by 3 beeps. I can't find what this means anywhere. Then sometimes it won't boot without outputting any beeps codes. No display, won't display anything to external VGA.

Does anyone know what these beep codes mean? Thanks

you dont have the manual for the laptop? look it up online, that should point you in a right direction

sounds like a memory error

if you have 2 modules remove one to see what happens

1 may be under the keyboard if you have 2

I tried the memory modules one at a time, still getting errors. I took the system apart trying to narrow down the problem.
I go to the BIOS RTC battery and pulled it to check the voltage, I read 2.87 VDC battery is rated for 3.0. Thats OK I guess
No I am getting a beep code of 4 beeps followed by nothing but CPU fan running. Any ideas? Oh, the manual says this 4 beep codes means "System Board error-Security Chip".
