Hello, I have a 54 inch sharp LCD flat screen LCD TV about 3 years old. Is HDMI

4.1a from my future video card GTX 550 Ti in computer compatible with flat screen HDMI 1.2 for

example?

Yes.

If the video card supports 1.2 and your TV is 1.1a your TV will still use the 1.1a signal.
