Hiya, this may seem a really simple question. I've been having a look at the Coollaboratory Liquid Ultra thermal paste stuff and it says that it shouldn't be put in contact with aluminium. So what metal is the AMD Phenom ii x6 1100t Black edition made of and will I be able to use it in a water cooling kit?

Many thanks
Wosp

I'm almost positive the heat spreader covering most processor chips is nickel plated copper. But I can't find anything to confirm it via Google.
Considering this description below shows it being used on an AMD's heat spreader, I don't think you have anything to worry about.
