NVIDIA 9800GTX+ running on one PCI-E? is this a problem?

So i just got a replacement PSU(450W) for my computer and I discovered that it only had one PCI-E plug. My 9800GTX+ has two inputs but I decided to boot it up anyways with the one PCI E. It seems to be working, I've got graphics but I've got this red light on in the the back of the card. what does this mean? Should I turn it off immediately or not worry about it. A quick response is very appreciated.
