I have almost every piece of computer hardware for my new build and I found myself with a considerable amount left over. Enough to be smart and put some in my savings account AND have some left over for peripherals. So I'd like to go and replace the cheap mouse and keyboard that came with my last pre-build comp. It will be a gaming computer, but I would also like to do regular stuff on it, so I want an all-around strong long-lived mouse.
The big thing I would like is to go wireless, simply because I would like to minimize the clutter on my desk to make it easier to clean and keep dust-free. Now I came VERY close to getting the RAT 9, simply because it looked so impressive, but I read a lot of very conflicting reviews on NewEgg.ca. I read some professional reviews that gave it good props, but a lot of people seem to think it's just a bad mouse, especially at 145$. So I'm going to skip it, as nice as it looks.
My next runner-up (and the my current top pick) is the Razer Naga, this one looks very interesting, it's a bit cheaper (though still pretty steep for a mouse) at 130$, it has lots of gaming keys (though I'm not sure if they would work with the RTS games I play... I haven't been able to find a game-compatibility list), and... it's nice and big, or at least it looks big from the pictures I've seen. I have big hands and I have to use a claw-pinch type of grip to hold onto my current mouse. I'd like a big mouse so I can actually rest my palm on it somewhat while I hold it.
Then I have people who tell me all things wireless are crap, and that I should definitely go with some wired steelseries. Though they never seem to offer a helpful link to any specific one that's on sale. I did find a Steelseries Xai on NewEgg.ca, but it's a refurbished model...

So, thougths? Anecdotes? Important tid-bits? I'm all ears.
