Triple is right....just get a SATA III SSD to take advantage of the 6Gb/s port on the board.

I have the 180GB Intel 520 SSD...power-on to desktop in 10 seconds.
Intel 330 series is good too, less for enthusiasts and more for budget but solid.
Go with 180GB, plenty of space for OS and a couple large games and then everything else on a cheap 1TB drive.

Yes any motherboard that has SATA inputs will support an SSD....Be sure to get SATA 6 Gb/s as that is currently one of the fastest standards...
