I7 Temps

Hello and thanks for everyone's time

My Specs are in sig.

currently I have the system clocked @ 4.5ghz with 1.29vcore.
NOTE: almost the exact same temps when system is at stock.

system runs stable but i feel the temps are high. 40-45 at idle and 70+ under full load (Prime95)

I have a double 120 Rad, XSPC X20 750 pump rez combo and a EK Supreme HF - Full Copper
the same setup but with a EK Supreme LT AMD ontop of a 1090T @ 4ghz and my temps were sub 30 at idle and 50~ full load.

this is my first intel since my SKT 370 Celeron 566. is this normal temps for watercooled i7's, did i get a dud or am i missing something?

I have reapplied thermal paste 3 times (Artic Silver 5) even took apart the cpu block to ensure the plate was in the correct direction.

PLL Overvoltage is on auto
Execute Disable Bit is on

C1E off
C3 Off
Spread Specturum Off

That seems a little high if you have a water cooling setup, i have those temperatures in one of my rigs with a 2600k with an air cooler.

Huh? Full load for me is roughly where you have and my 2600k is at 4.5ghz. Also try 1.27v well thats what I have my 2600k at.

what are your idle temps?.
btw the temps in the pic are @ idle. load is low 70's

ill try but it seems my bios is rounding to either 1.285 or 1.29. ill try 1.27 but i have a feeling even at 1.28 i had crashing

i have 4 sticks of 4gb will that require more voltate and therefor more heat?

i got hold of a 2nd 2700k.

little better results. 4.5ghz @ 1.255v
heat is a little better also.
