Some questions about Dirext X versions

Does DX11 support all of the features of previous DX like 10, 10.1 and 9?

Can I install DX11 on Windows Vista? If yes, where can I download it?
I am trying to play Battlefield 3 Beta on my laptop until I can go home and play it on my Windows 7 desktop. But in Vista dxdiag I see that my DX version is only 10 but Battlefield 3 requires DX10.1
