C:\WINDOWS\security

C:\WINDOWS\System32\Com
C:\WINDOWS\System32\ias
C:\WINDOWS\System32\MsDtc
C:\WINDOWS\System32\ras
C:\WINDOWS\System32\Setup
C:\WINDOWS\System32\wbem
C:\WINDOWS\System32\Web
C:\WINDOWS\System32\WinSxS

Some in-depth knowledge would be appreciated. Been
searching a long time. I'm not the only one who wants to
know. I am searching for many others as well.

In short, they contain important system files that is required by the operating system to fuction
properly.

Whatever your reason for finding this information, you need to do your own
research.

Go to this website:

Tick the radio button:

Search only in microsoft.public.windowsxp.*

Place the folder name (NOT the entire path to the folder) in the search box
with quotes. Click the Search Button.

ie: Search for the word "Provisioning"
