Laptop turn off by itself

Hello everyone,

I did a CPU upgrade on my laptop, a Compaq C767LA from a Intel M 550 @ 2.00GHZ to a Core 2 Duo @ 2.00GHZ T6400

When i turn the laptop on with the new processor it only works like 5 seconds and then turn off by itself, everything seems to works fine when the laptop starts (fan, leds on the laptop, keyboard) but keep turning off by itself.

Is there something that i could be missing while swapping the CPU?

Also i tried to upgdate the BIOS but still getting the same problem.

Does the BIOS specifically support a T6400 CPU?

If the BIOS has not been designed or updated to recognize that CPU, then it won't work.

Yes, i read about the CPU compatibles with the Motherboard and BIOS and i found a topic where explain that i can upgrade to the T6400 without problem.
