Monitor turns off

Hello,
Started yesterday. Monitor turned itself off. Turned it off at the switch and back on yesterday and finished the day fine. Today it started again and keeps doing it. Should I chunk it and get a new one or send it to a repair shop. Hooked up an old monitor and it is working fine at that work station.

unless its a really expensive monitor its probably not worth the cost of sending it to a repair shop

new monitors are so cheap nowadays

just be positive its the monitor before binning it

does it do it if you connect the monitor to another pc?
