I have 2x4 GB of G. Skill Ripjaws rated for 1333 speed, I was wondering if I set them to 1600 speed in the BIOS would I take a risk of damaging my RAM?

When overclocking, there is always risk of damaging the o/c'd part. In order to o/c the RAM, you will also have to up the voltage, which can reduce the lifespan of the RAM and/or damage it. Its always best to learn more about the type of ram you have and see what other people have found when overclocking the same part. Some RAM and CPU's overclock extremely well, while others don't overclock at all.
