QVL/Motherboard Kingston Hyper X T1 Series 8 DDR3 1866 (PC3 15000) 240

I am piecing together my first computer, and want to grab the following memory:
Kingston Hyper X T1 Series 8 DDR3 1866 (PC3 15000) 240-Pin SDRAM Dual Channel Kit KHX1866C9D3T1K2/8GX

I can't find this on ANY QVL lists for motherboards that I am looking at, I have scowered the internet. Is this compatible with an ASRock Extreme4 or Gigabyte GAZ77XD3 ?

Get the RAM with 1.5V, Cas Latency 9 and 1600MHz, because they have better $/performance rate. Check the link and you will see you pay more but get closed performances for return. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/quad-channel-ddr3-memory-review,3100-8.html

Good brand like Crucial, Kingston, G.Skill.

I wanted to get the Kingston Hyper X T1 because it is on sale for pretty much the same price as 1600 but the Hyper X T1 is at the top of the ram food chain and isn't 1866 faster anyway?

I can't find any motherboards that work with this Ram though, anyone know any? Will the ASRock Extreme4 or Gigabyte GAZ77XD3 work with this ram at 1866?

Forget about QVL lists. The RAM will work on both of MB, but you need OC to the 1866MHz.

If you get the good deal, go for it. My point is that if you pay more don't buy.

Is this ram DDR2 or DDR3? If it is DDR2, is it going to be slower than 8GB corsair vengance 1600? I am getting conflicting info below:

It is DDR3 RAM, if the RAM is DDR2 that can't use on Both of MB. DDR3 RAM are not backwards compatible with DDR2, and DDR3 modules do not fit into DDR2 sockets.
