Upgrading rig - need some help !!!

Hey guyz this is my first post on the forums so plz 4give me for noobish guestions. Anyways i am upgrading my rig and i need some help. my current specs are :

Intel Corporation DG31PR (J3E1)
Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 @ 2.80GHz
4 GB DDR2 Ram
1280x1024@60Hz
1024MB GeForce 9500 GT (nVidia)
MS Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit SP1

So yea i wanna upgrade these. so far i have only chosen the i5 2500k as the processor. cant decide which graphic card to go with. i was thinking of a hd 6950 2gb but i wanna know if i just buy a 550ti can i like use dual 550tis later ? like that crossfire or sli. idk. and with these what motherboard would be good and what psu. ( for this is was thinking of the coolermaster gx750w how wuld that do ? ) , and plz also tell me whther the mobo you suggest can suport ddr2ram . thanks in advane for all you help

and just to let you know ill be mainly using this for gaming and i wanna max out all games. also how long could this rig last me ?

By the looks of it, you seem to be better off with a completely new build though your budget will be the biggest deciding factor.
