I am trying to chase down a couple of issues after instillation a Samsung SSD 830 Windows 7 boor drive in my ASUS P6T Deluxe system. I have also installed a Rocket 640L SATA3 host bus adapter to optimize the performance of the SSD.
One of the issues I am having is the chassis fans are running at high speed after exiting Sleep Mode. The only way I can fix this is to reboot (of course the problem re-occurs after the next Sleep Mode exit). I did not have this problem with my prior Windows 7 installation (using a conventional HDD boot drive running of the native SATA2 controller)
I have the Q-Fan feature enabled in the BIOS (running BIOS v2209), for both the CPU and the Chassis fans. I have the issue both with the ASUS AI Suite installed and not installed
Has anyone ever encountered this fan behavior?
Also, I found that system Restarts fail after exiting Sleep Mode. What I mean if the system exists Sleep mode and then I subsequently try to Restart Windows 7, the Windows "shutting down" splash screen appears, the video display is blanks, but the system never reboots). Restart works normally provided the system has not entered (and exited) Sleep Mode. Any thoughts on this Restart behavior?
