It was incredibly beautiful and touching. I have never seen so two
individuals completely in love with each other. I could almost see God
smiling down upon them.

That is completely independent
of the concept of marriage.

Your emotional outburst notwithstanding, God is God, and He has
declared this activity an abomination.

You didn't know my parents, one male and one female. They never
stopped kissing for 62-years of marriage.

No 'He' has not declared anything of the sort. All you have heard is what
other humans claim 'He' has said. 'He' has never been heard from, all we
hear are other humans.

Get it?

Just like the preacher on TV last night, really made me laugh. "This is
what the lord tells us" he said. Would it be reasonable to call him a
liar, since The Lord had not told him anything.

'Thou shalt not bear false witness' and they do it constantly

Since Homosexuality is found is many species and you seem to believe
that you god made everything, why then did he make this supposed
abomination within them.

BTW God did not write Romans 1 also Romans 1 says nothing about
homosexuality

Just when did you hear god speak?

Oh that's right god does not exist, and has never existed; god is just
a figment of you imagination.

i think the psycho christian can't get through the day without hating someone.

BUT if he uses the Bible (no matter how hypocritically) to hate someone, well
then it's like a free pass to hate, because God says it's A-OK!!!! (personally,
i think God sees through that cheap-ass loophoole, but you can't tell the
psycho-christian anything!)

but really, my favorite one is this thread is the guy with the electrical plug
analogy.

they scare me, but i must admit that they do amuse me.

Yes, I've seen this occasionally, but the main question at issue is
were they married to each other?

He also declared eating shellfish an abomination, along with about a
hundred other things.

Do you follow all the laws in Leviticus?

of course they don't! that would require work! it's much easier to be lazy,
quote Leviticus, and continue being bigoted an ignorant.

i mean what would happen if they actually stopped and thought about it for a
moment?

man, things like thinking could lead to harder stuff, like reading, compassion,
understanding.

nah, it's much easier to just remain bigoted and ignorant, because they think
that's what God wants.

i really don't know.... i was raised to believe that God wanted us to be smart,
compassionate and understanding.

obviously i was not raised by "good" Christians.

That's your first mistake, thinking that some imaginary god had anything to

when did this god or any other god 'declare' anything? All we hear are the
words of other humans, no gods ever speak to us...... why?

because they are imaginary.

"imaginary."
You got to be shiting me!
Explain the Gods of the Copybook Heading, well?
How do account for last weeks Nielsen's
(American Idol-Tuesday FOX, 24,108,000 viewers)
Heh, explain golf!
You have many a god, you just don't know it.
With the possible exception of poets there aint a
man afoot or under who do, have, or willingly strive
to bow a head or drop to his knees, bet your ass.
What do you think a God is, what does he/she/offer?
What is a God, think about it, then take an objective look
at how you conduct your life then TELL me they aint talking to ya.
And brother, YOU are listening.

If you mean a semispherical solid, Many of us would know where to begin.
I doubt anyone is sure exactly what you mean by a semicircular solid,
due to the mixing of plane and solid geometry terms.

Don't forget the Bible also says its OK to sell your daughter in to
slavery. As another poster said, some people use religion to hide their

We have established *all* religeon is pretty much bullshit; but it makes
speople act better in many respects, and the interpretation of what the
bible (and the others of course) say is open to interpretation basically -
people take words to mean different things!

In other words it's pointless talking about it.

That is your opinion, and you are welcome to it. That is called

I hear Him speak frequently. It typically happens when I pray. I
speak, and then God speaks. I speak, and then God speaks.

It also happens when I read the Bible and a particular passage "leaps

I'd say that's a matter of perspective. Since many of us see homosex

such), I prefer my perspective.

As a born-again New Testament Christian, I don't follow the Old

As I've said repeatedly for those blessed with the ability to read, I
