HD 6970 display issue

It's been 2 months now since i have my HD 6970 and it worked fine until yesterday. When i play games, there is no issue at all, but when i don't play a game, there are millions of little gray dots on my screen depending on what I'm doing. It's really annoying and i can't find any solutions on the internet at all.
