I think it's time to upgrade from this sound card. For some reason my rears are getting real low. The front channel doesn't work. I don't know why all this is happening... All the speakers do work. I have checked to make sure that isn't the case. There MIGHT be a case to be made that the Sub (built in amp) isn't working on those channels or not working properly. Not really sure how to troubleshoot that though. Maybe use the on board sound from my ASRock P67 Extreme6?

Speaker system are the Logitech Z5500s.

But at any rate, i'd like to upgrade my sound card when I decide to swap cases/power supply.

So, any recommendations?

There's not much better for 5.1 surround sound than the x-fi. I'm not saying it's the best, just that other cards aren't a huge/noticeable upgrade.

Try a Xonar DX or, if you just want to spend a lot of money, an HT Omega Clario II.

I don't even know what the PAX Driver is? Is that something you get from creative.com? The drivers I used are pretty recent.
