Powerswitch and Mobo

Hello I have an OEM motherboard with the power switch connector on the mobo in this formation

(These are the Pins)
. . . .
. . . . .

And my current case has a power cable with is just a 2 pin. I plugged it in vertically in the middle ones and a few other formations but of course it did not work. Is there some way to work around it? Can I get a cable or something identical or can I plug it into another place?

  1. Hi, What motherboard? Have you checked the manual for the front panel connector pinout?
  2. I assume it goes into the 8 and 6 slot. I'll try it now. Hopefully it works. Cheers.
  3. Yes, 8 and 6.
