Hello,
I have a choice between the:
2500k for $180
2600 for $200

Both of these are new and I'm wondering if it will be worth the 20 for the extra threads. I'll be doing some video editing and light gaming(not planning on OC).

The Rest of my specs are:
500 GB HD
AMD 6870
600w PSU Corsair
Gigabyte z68 mb
8 GB 1600 ram

For vid editing, you could use the 2600 probably and it's 20 bucks more, so I would get it now because eventually you'd want to upgrade, both are good CPUs though and neither is better than the other for gaming but as far as productivity the i7 could come in handy.

It really comes down to what you are going to be doing with the computer. For gamers it is very hard to beat the Intel Core i5-2500K in both performance and value. However if you are going to be doing something like video editting, heavy multi-tasking and things like this you will want to go with the Intel Core i7-2600.
