Hello, i'm building a computer and I'm having an issue with my ram. It's G.SKILL Ares Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model F3-1866C10Q-32GAB ram, and i'm putting it into an ASUS SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0 AM3 AMD 990FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard with UEFI BIOS motherboard, and I don't know what's wrong. I have a GTX 660, and an AMD FX8350 processor. I don't know what's wrong with my RAM, but i've tried MEMOK, and swapping the dimms around in different configurations and numbers.

could be two issues. the first is the mb bios ram code may be so old that the mb wont post with that ram. see if you have another ddr3 ram even if it 1066 ram. the other issue could be that the ram as it a new brand with gskills was never qal in that mb and wont work.

I don't have any other RAM to test, and I bought the mobo and RAM last week. After checking the compatibility list, I think it may be time to go for a refund.

try getting 1600 ram most of that ram is stock speed ram. you should be able to find a lot of ram on the mb qal list.
